My First Attempt At ATCs
The first is made from some new kitty cat fabrics I got a couple months ago, and the second is a paisley design that I copied from Jo in NZ's paisley bauble bag from way back when. I didn't quite get it exact, as I have a lot of trouble with bullions and she used tons of them in her design. I think it turned out pretty though! Tell me what you think!
Have a great Monday!

New Pictures of the Kids
I just uploaded all the new pics from the camera, and I have a few new pics of the kids, being cute as always!
This is the babies getting into trouble...as usual! They were out playing on top of their cages and they decided to climb up the wallhanging and sit on the rod. They were pecking around on my border trying to eat the lighthouses! Goofballs!
Pearl decided to check out the tree before I took it down!
Speckles was holding the lights for me while I was taking them off the tree....and looking at herself in the window. She's so silly!
NO MOMMY! Don't take my Christmas to the attic!!! Speckles loves Christmas time and she planted herself right in the middle of the stack of boxes going to the attic.
Cherokee munching:
This is his, "Do you HAVE to take a picture of me?" look:
I probably have more, but will end here for now! Hope you enjoyed seeing my critters again!

Rebecca's House Cats Block
I finished Rebecca's house cats block and sent it meowing home to her earlier this week, so I thought I'd share some pics of it! It is such a cute block, especially that napping kitten in the middle! All of the ladies did a wonderful job with her block, I hope that she is as thrilled with it as I was to work on it!
Here's a pic of the whole block:
Now the work that I did....I added the white kitty applique and all of the stitching on it, along with the seam treatment beside it:
I added the I love cats and the kitty beside it:
Here I cross-stitched the kitty in the cowboy boot using waste canvas, and added the saying "Puss in boot":

Friday Night Fun
I actually got the chance to get out and do something on Friday night, YAY! We got together with our friends and went bowling, Rock n' Bowl. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it is a bowling session from 11:30 pm till 1:30 am. They play loud music, have lasers and everything is lighted with blacklights. It really is pretty cool! But we took the camera with us to catch the candid moments, and oh boy did we! Okay, I know, shut up and get to the pictures.....let me just add...we are COMPLETELY SOBER!!!!!!!!

I apparently have a secret identity....
Yes, it is true, I apparently have a secret identity that not even I knew about! How's that for some news! This is a good one...be prepared to get a good giggle here!
Around 6 pm yesterday, some guy came knocking on our door. I sent Hubs to the door to answer it as I was yacking on the phone. He asked for Karen. Now, the last time I checked, there was no one named Karen living here, and to our knowledge, there has NEVER been a Karen living here. When my Hubs told him that there was no one here by that name, he said, "She drives that car!". Ummmm....No. Hubs again repeated that no one by that name lives here, so he asked his friend that was standing in the street if that was the car and she said yes. What the hell??? So, Hubs told him again that no one by that name lives here and he reluctantly left. Okay, I drive a 1990 Chevrolet Celebrity Wagon. There are MANY of them in this town....and probably 5 in our neighborhood. So......try again buddy!
THEN, when I went to do my route tonight, I was chatting at a gas station with my Mom and a cop pulled in beside us. He got out of his car and walked over to us and promptly asked me if I had been delivering papers in an addition about a mile from the station. I told him no and that my Mom delivered out there. He turned to me and frankly informed me that I fit the description of someone who had stolen a car out there. ME??? Okay....
I explained to him that I had just come from home where I had been sleeping....I guess he believed me, he didn't slam me on the hood and handcuff me! He said that they had found the car and that the suspects had been running through peoples' backyards to get away. Okay....
After the fact I thought about it and you know what? I feel sorry for them if I fit the description and they cannot catch a short, fat, white girl. Give me a break!!!!!!!!
So apparently my secret identity is Karen the car thief. Wow, I've heard of sleep walking, but stealing a car in my sleep??? I must be REAL good!
On another note, the blacksmith came and took care of Cherokee, and he is feeling much better! I'm so glad, I was really worried about him!! We set up regular appointments with them and they will be coming back in about 4 weeks to check on him. Finally!
Alright, I just had to share my day with you all, and what an interesting day it was!
Have a super Sunday!

A Little Good News
Hi all! Just a quick update on the previous post. We finally found a farrier to come out and look at Cherokee's hooves....he'll be here Friday morning around 10:30. Thank goodness! He's feeling a bit better now though, so that's a good thing. He just has a slight limp now and is eating a lot better. I'm wondering if his not eating was because of this crazy "heat wave" we've been having. The temps are back to normal for around here, so I guess maybe that's helping with his appetite. It's not helping with my freezing to death, but that's okay, I'll survive!
Added a couple new slideshows to my blog, one is of my critters, the other of some of the Kitty Kitty round robin blocks. They will eventually all make their way into a slideshow, I just ran out of time! Enjoy!
Have a great night!

Crazy Weather!
Good Morning!
I had a few spare minutes, so I played with my blog a little, just to try out something new. I love the new layout that I found, it is "The Last Unicorn". No, I haven't read it, seen it or anything else it. I just thought it was cute! I also added some music, some of my favorite songs....but the player is too small, I can't add enough! 20 songs are my limit, so for now, that will do. (Not to mention it is taking FOREVER to upload the songs today. :p)
We are having the craziest weather here in Indiana! Holy cow, last Thursday at this time it was 2*F. Today it is 57*F! What the heck is THAT about????? Of course, anyone who lives in Indiana knows that if you don't like the weather, wait a day, it will change. But really? 55 degrees difference in our low temps in 4 days? I really think we will be paying for this soon....probably be buried under a blizzard this time next month. Hee hee hee. Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit either!
I spent the weekend with Cherokee at the farm, he has a sore hoof, and well, we aren't exactly sure why. So we did a little hoof work yesterday, trimming and rasping. I hope that he is feeling better soon. And WHY can't you get a farrier to work on ponies???? I am so frustrated beyond all right now. I have called every farrier listed within 50 miles of us, and no one will call me back. I'm going to try calling some veterinarians today to see if they can recommend someone. He really needs an appointment with an expert, just to be sure that there isn't anything major wrong. I'm worried. He's 37, and in relatively good shape for his age, but I also know that it doesn't take much to take a horse down when they are older. Not to mention we are having all of this nice weather and he can't go out in the fields because his tootsies are sore. Poor fella.
I've been snapping tons of pics with my new camera....I just haven't had time to upload them all and go through them. And when I say tons, I literally mean TONS! I know for sure that there are at least 300 new pics. And that's just within the past 3 weeks! Of course, I'm sure not all of them are great....so, once I get them uploaded I can work on sorting them out. Those screens on the cameras are great, they really are, but most of the time the picture doesn't look as good as I think it does once it is uploaded into my pooter. So check back for pics soon!
Okay, well, I am off to see if I can answer a few emails before I hit the bed. Have a great day all!

I need some advice!
Hi all! I am having serious time issues. Imagine that, I think just about everyone does....but I really could use some advice. I don't care if I know you or not....throw your 2 cents in, I'm open to just about any and all ideas at this point. (And yes, I know, I'm spending time doing THIS instead of something else....LOL, but I have a load of wash in and my dishes are soaking.....sooo....)
I can't seem to get everything done. I mean seriously, how the heck do you people do it? I have found myself in a position where it seems that I work nonstop from the minute my feet hit the floor until the minute my head hits the pillow, and I still just can't get everything done. I'm not complaining here, that's not it, I just need to figure out a way that I can manage to fit everything in, without neglecting people and things that are important to me. (Which I seem to have been doing for the past year.)
I am taking care of my home and property, along with my parents farm (which isn't a lot of upkeep, just mowing and cleaning up a bit), and helping my Mom take care of her house and property as my Dad is no longer able to and she isn't in the best health. Plus working about 30 hours a week. I am trying to work out a schedule and stick to it, but everytime I get a schedule set and do it for a week or two, something comes up to disrupt it and I am back to square one. I try to get back on schedule, but then, I get behind and it mounts up to seeming impossible again. I'm working on this schedule thing again, trying to make it work, and so far I have fallen behind in the housework again and my house looks like a tornado went through it. I had to let things go a bit for the holidays in order to get the "holiday" things done....but come on, isn't there a way to fit it all in? I have a feeling in the long run it's going to boil down to losing sleep in order to accomplish the things that I have to do, and that's not a good option for me as I don't sleep that much as it is. However, if that is what I need to do, then so be it.
Okay, I think that I'm finished now, please give me a hint...this young housewife is ready to pull her hair out and call it quits all the way around!
Thanks!
